  • Architectural Drafter

    WDA is seeking a talented, emerging professional that has experience working within the architectural and engineering field.  This is a growth focused role, and the ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience within the A/E industry. The Architectural Drafter will be responsible for collaborating with our in-house architects and engineers to assist with the full life cycle of production drawings, in REVIT and AutoCAD. This role will allow the candidate to translate architectural sketches and documents into 2D and 3D models and images for use with clients. WDA is a mentorship focused team, and we look forward to this candidate elevating within our firm as their experience and knowledge expands. This teammate will be headquartered in our Clearwater, FL office.

    Areas of Responsibility:

    • Works with project teams in all phases of a project. This includes performing site visits to document existing conditions and perform site observations during construction.
    • Provide drawing and design support to our project teams in the development of conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documents utilizing both REVIT and AutoCAD. This will include all project phases and the incorporation of redline revisions as needed.
    • Ability to collaborate with team members providing high-quality production drafting support.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of Florida Building Code requirements.
    • Assist with project modeling and client presentations as needed.
    • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
    Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of Architectural and Engineering industry experience
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, but enrolled students are also welcome and encouraged to apply
    • Knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite required
    • Experience with Lumion and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required
    • Ability to collaborate with an eagerness to learn and grow
