    Architect / Project Manager Boca Raton, Florida This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking project manager to work alongside our team overseeing the administration of multiple projects from our Boca Raton, Florida office.  WDA is a small, tight-knit firm, focused on delivering unique ideas that fully address our client’s needs. This full-time teammate will be required to listen effectively, while leading architectural and engineering project teams. The successful candidate’s day-to-day responsibilities will include creating, mentoring, innovating, and solving client challenges in a collaborative work environment.

    Areas of Responsibility:

    • Management of the design process from conception to construction administration, ensuring client satisfaction, and overall consistency of design intent
    • Assisting in production of projects using Revit
    • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and permitting process
    • Serve as the clients’ primary liaison by actively managing the program, budget, schedules and project communication
    • Coordinate, collaborate and communicate with all internal team members and external consultants through construction administration phases of a project
    • Management and implementation of quality control measures to ensure a project’s success
    • Review and confirm accuracy of calculations, estimates, plans and reports
    • Participation in project pursuits, client presentations and/or meetings as needed, including the preparation of drawings and models as well as proposal development
    • Participation in internal peer reviews of projects at various phases and for a variety of project types; WDA operates in a highly collaborative environment
    Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture from an accredited university; licensure preferred but not required
    • 8 or more years of proven related work experience in architectural project management, project design production and construction detailing
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam and Microsoft office
    • Knowledge of Lumion, PowerPoint and Deltek Ajera are a plus
    • Detail oriented individual focused on accuracy, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
    • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, written and verbal skills
    • Related experience with one of WDA's market segments: K-12 Educational, Higher Ed, and Civic (courthouses, libraries, etc.)

    WDA is seeking a Florida-registered architect to partner with our leadership team and oversee the operations of WDA’s Design Studio based in Clearwater, Fl. We are seeking a full-time, collaborative team member who thrives on engaging with colleagues and clients in a dynamic studio environment. The Studio Director will lead project delivery, manage studio operations, and contribute to the continued growth of WDA’s presence throughout Florida. This role serves as a key mentor and liaison in providing day-to-day leadership, design direction, and operational oversight within the architecture group.

    The successful candidate will work closely with principals, architects, project managers, technical staff, and interior designers to ensure cohesive design coordination, uphold quality control standards, and support the professional development of the team. Responsibilities also include staff mentoring, technical training, and contributing to the evolution of WDA’s design standards and technical practices.  Additionally, the Studio Director will play an active role in client relationships and support business development and marketing efforts that align with the firm’s strategic goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape both the culture and output of a growing, design-focused studio.

    Areas of Responsibility:

    Project Management

    • Oversee and lead the coordination and delivery of all projects in the studio (Pursuit, Pre-Contract, Quality Control, Project Execution, Construction Administration and Closeout).
    • Provides expertise on codes, construction methods and best practices for quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC).
    • Ensure projects meet the highest standards of client satisfaction including management of schedule, budget, and quality.
    • Ensure client expectations are exceeded, and relationships are both maintained and expanded.

    Operations

    • Cultivate a collaborative, positive environment emphasizing teamwork, mentorship, and design integrity.
    • Appropriately communicates clear expectations and effective performance feedback with staff.
    • Monitor staffing levels to ensure all projects are on schedule and employees are fully utilized.
    • Administrative involvement and review of timesheets, expense reports, performance evaluations and recommendations regarding compensation.
    • Assist with the creation of our firm’s standard technical practices.
    • Oversee project budgets, contracts, proposals.

    Business Development/Marketing

    • In collaboration with the Director of South Florida and the Director of Business Development, establish and implement a strategic business development plan that meets both short and long-term goals.
    • Foster relationships to further Business Development goals and influence other teammates to expand and establish such relationships.
    • Respond to RFPs and work with marketing teams to enhance the firm's visibility and portfolio.
    • Participate in design presentations including interviews.

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

    • Education: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
    • Licensure: Registered Architect; familiarity with Florida building codes and regulatory process is preferred. Active member in relevant local organizations and national societies.
    • Experience: 10–15 years in architecture, including leadership experience (Studio Director or similar). Emphasis on quality and unique design experience, demonstrated through past projects/portfolio. Preferred background in education and municipal design.
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, PowerPoint, Deltek Ajera, and Excel
    • Leadership: Client-focused, with strong business acumen and strategic thinking, capable of fostering culture and growth.
    • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to navigate client interactions and team dynamics effectively.
