City of Clearwater Library Feasibility Study

With the City of Clearwater moving forward with the Imagine Clearwater plan, the City leaders desired to activate the first floor of the library and roof terrace with the new activities in Coachman Park.

The library is utilizing this opportunity to modernize the first floor to meet services and technology expected in current and future library facilities.

WDA conducted focus groups with the Friends of the Library, the Library Foundation, the Library Board, Library Administration and City leadership to develop an understanding of the needs and desires of the community.

Through the focus group meetings, the key elements desired in the facility includes:

• Access to collaboration spaces of multiple sizes
• Areas for exhibition of community and regional art collections
• Highlight the exceptional view of the site
• Provide access to young professionals to utilize equipment, materials and the facilities
• Enhance technology access

WDA developed the Master Plan for the City who has placed the next phase on hold for funding.
